The Lakeland Humane Society cares for over 500 animals each year, which operates from donations from the public throughout the Lakeland communities. We do not receive government funding; we rely on the support from our generous donors in our communities.

MEMORIAL DONATIONS When you make a gift in memory of a person, the humane society will send a simple card to the family, letting them know that you’ve made a memorial gift.
To make a memorial gift, simply send a check or money order, and include a note with the name of the person in whose memory you are making the gift, and the name and address of the person you would like us to notify.
You may also call 780-594-1896 to make your gift with a credit card (visa). For a pet caregiver, the loss of an animal friend can be one of life's most difficult experiences. In memoriam gifts for beloved animals, devoted companions who give us their unconditional love can be made to the Lakeland Humane Society, to honor the memory of a pet. SPONSOR A CAGE PROGRAM Nobody likes a cage...as a sponsor, your contributions will help us provide care, shelter, and most of all, hope for a new life to these wonderful animals who wait for a second chance at love and a second chance at the dream of a loving home.
SPONSORSHIP OPTIONS: $1000.00/5 Year Sponsorship, $250.00/1 Year Sponsorship, $20.00/Month Sponsorship. Donations can be made monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annual. Only yearly sponsorships qualify for a plaque. Sponsorship’s can bear your name, your company's name or the name of a loved one or pet.

No one can guess how many litters can be prevented by the neutering of a male. We have heard it said by knowledgeable people in the field that a male cat on the loose can sire as many as 2,500 kittens in a year and a male dog just as many puppies"

Why not sponsor this animal? For a $20.00 monthly donation, you can sponsor one of the homeless animals at the humane society. This gift will be used to purchase food, toys, treats, vaccinations, or anything else this animal would need. Your name would be placed on his/her cage card as well as a thank you in our quarterly Paws N' Tails newsletter.
